The problem.

You want to play basketball. Three friends want to play. Nobody knows which court is open, whose lights work at 7pm, or whether the one you're thinking of is the good court or the one where the rim is bent. So you text back and forth for 40 minutes, someone flakes, and the whole thing dies.

This is a solved problem. Google Maps knows where every court is, what it's rated, and how to get there. All that was missing was a way to turn "we should play" into a shareable link with everyone's RSVP on it.

PICKUP SPORTS is a real courts finder + a game creator + a share link. That's it. No app, no account, no community. If you can text a friend, you can start a game.

What we won't do.

Make you sign up. Ever. If you're playing basketball tonight, the last thing you need is a login screen.

Push notifications. We're not trying to get on your home screen. We're trying to help you play. Different goal.

Turn this into a "sports social network." Those exist. They mostly don't work. What works is the group chat you already have — plus a link that actually gets everyone to the same court.
